The Collectors Index

Trifari became known for its high quality Costume Jewelry under the leadership of Alfred Philippe in the 1930s, through most of the 1960s. Trifari costume jewelry began to set standards for most of the high fashion costume jewelry industry. About 15% of their jewelry line became very collectible and one should not exclude the other Trifari jewelry they produced. With items such as the Crown pins, sword pins, exotic animal figures, and their line of Mogul, (in late 1940s) and Jewels of India (mid 1960s),. Jewels by Trifari became the trend setting leader in the rhinestone  jewelry industry under their president Alfred Philippe.

The set is from Trifari's "White Enamel Collection" from 1968 to early 1970s. The leaf pin and clip earrings are done in a gold tone metal with cold white enamel. The pin has a 3/4 circle safety clasp, all pieces are in good condition.

Item D-688 Trifari Faux Pearl and Rhinestone Bracelet
Trifari from the early 1950s, faux pearl and crystal rhinestone bracelet, it is signed Pat., Pend., Trifari. The only wear showing on the bracelet is on the back and even that is not bad. The spots on the front in the large photos are from reflections and do not exist on the bracelet. Crystal rhinestone and simulated pearls are all in good condition in this lovely 1950s bracelet, it has a fold over clasp.

Trifari necklace and clip earrings in a double row of leaves, they are a bright silver tone florentine metal with a rhodium plate. The back is a bright smooth rhodium plate, the clip earrings are signed Trifari with the crown above the T and the copy right mark. The earrings are clip and the necklace is hook adjustable.

The best of Trifari jewelry in this necklace and earring set, bright rhodium plate metal, brilliant baguettes and round brilliant rhinestone with very good simulated pearls. There is no wear on the set, all stones are in very good condition. The earrings are clip and the necklace is hook adjustable from 13" to 14 1/2" choker size. This was Trifari sold to the finer jewelry stores.

The beauty and sparkle of this 1960s Trifari necklace can not be captured by the camera, it has a tremendous amount of brilliance from the rhinestone sets. A deep golden brown topaz accented with smoke color sets that just dazzle the eye. Set in a gold tone cast metal that is in near mint condition. The necklace is hook adjustable and signed Trifari with out the copyright mark on the hook clasp. The workmanship is very good on this vintage piece and the "Trifari Look" is never in doubt here.

 The "Art Deco" Trifari KTF bracelet is no doubt a "Alfred Philippe" design, signed with KTF a Trifari mark first used 1934. Red large baguettes with smaller crystal rhinestone baguettes sets and round brilliant crystal rhinestones. The beauty of this bracelet could not be captured by the camera. The only wear on the bracelet is on the back or under side and a few of the prong settings. The rhinestones have good sparkle and metal has the bright rhodium finish on top. This is a very collectible KTF Trifari bracelet for wearing or collecting. It has a fold over type clasp. Picture of Signature area of Bracelet.

 The Trifari by Philippe 1950 scroll grape vine necklace with red oval and baguette crystal rhinestones. They are mounted on a free swinging lattice setting in very good condition. The vintage aura Borealis signed Trifari crown bracelet is from 1956. Great condition with lovely sets. The larger picture comes much closer to showing the beauty of the bracelet and earrings. The bracelet measures 1/2" W x 7" Long with clip earrings 1" Wide x 1 1/8" Tall. Circa; 1956.

Item: C-1898 Trifari Rhinestone Fur Clip and Earrings
The clip pin is marked "Trifari and Des. Pat. 151554" and both earrings. Pave set rhinestone of which almost all have been replaced, the metal is good with no loss of plating with very minor nicks that do show in the photo when viewed very close up. The picture was taken to show minor nicks and they are not visible from just a foot away. The stem of one pin has a safety catch lock on the clip. It can be worn as a fur clip or coat or heavy sweater brooch. The clip measures 1 1/4" W x 1 7/8" Tall with clip earrings 3/4" Wide x 1" Tall. Circa; 1949.

The pin is signed "Trifari Pat. Pend. " on plaque. The pat number assigned to this pin was Pat. No. 165545 and was issued on December 25th 1951 to Alfred Philippe the designer. The pin stem clasp on back has been repaired and is very secure. Other than that the pin looks as pretty as new. Very good condition. The Trifari bow pin measures 1 3/4" W x 2 1/2" Tall.  Circa; 1951.

 The 1940s Trifari sterling silver and crystal rhinestone bow pin in very good condition with sparkling rhinestone. It is most likely a Alfred Philippe design but was unable to verify it. It is signed Pat. Pend. with Sterling and Trifari with out the crown above the T on back which could date the pin earlier. Done in rhodium plate sterling silver. The pin clasp is a bullet type safety clasp.
