The pin has a very good simulated aquamarine set and is mounted in 10k gold setting. It is marked (G) which looks to be Arthur Gaskins mark from the Arts and Crafts period but we are un-sure of that. The safety nib is not the orignal and is plate gold. Circa 1915 and has 10k yellow gold shank with granulated white and yellow 10k gold setting. Item No: B-2136 Mitsukoshi 18K Gold Stick Pin
The pin was produced for Mitsukoshi, a Tokyo large retail firm, these were a issue to the ranking military officers in the Japanese Imperial Navy. The pin is in the original green velvet box with a creme colored velvet inside. The box is marked with the Mitsukoshi emblem and "Mitsukoshi Tokyo". 18 karat white and yellow gold double helm "wheel" with pin shank. Circa: in 1930s or earlier. Each wheel measures 1/4" in diameter with the top being a little over 3/8" wide with over all lenght 2 1/4". The Price: SOLD |
