The star brooch pin has simulated pearls, topaz rhinestone, lava glass sets with a large topaz glass cabochon The bumpy metal oxide coated sets are called Lava Glass sets. There is a lot of color displayed in the oxidized metal brooch pin done in the Florenza style. The brooch pin has a 3/4 circle safety clasp.

Item No: C-1453 Aurora Borealis Brooch Pin
Item Description: Gold plate leaves with clear rhinestones and some AB sets in a ribbon swirling around the stem of the leaf. The pin has the smooth gold back and leaf vein finish with AB sets so popular in the late 1950s and 60s. Lovely pin with no wear, the picture shows dark spots but there is none, they seem never to do justice to these pins.

The brooch pin has pink rhinestones prong set in gold plate metal. A sun burst of pretty pink rhinestones. Two of the rhinestones have a small dark age spot but really not noticeable unless viewed very close up, they look like natural flaws in stone. The condition of metal plate is very good.
The pin measures 2 1/4" in diameter.
