Item No: C-3192 "Slater" Chatelaine Dagger Pin
The dagger pin or scimitar sword pin was designed by Murray Slater of Brooklyn, NY, patent was applied for in 1946 and granted in 1947. Des., Patent No. 146950. This pin has been restored as it was in bad condition, all sets have been replaced with Swarvoski crystal rhinestone except for the cabochons. They were replaced with red glass sets. The enamel has been re-done and the brass chain has been left intact, the rose or copper gold plate is original and is in very good condition. This is a restored original 1940s piece that measures 4 1/4" Tall x 1 1/2" Wide at the hilt or handle. The sword when removed from the sheath is 1 1/2" wide x 3 3/4" long. Baguette and bell shape crystal rhinestone set in a bright silver tone metal. This pin has all the looks of a unsigned Eisenberg from the 1960s. All sets are in very good condition, the bell shape are a specialty design used by Eisenberg in their early production. The brooch pin is not signed, all sets are prong mounted and the pin is made in a three tier design. Pin has a 3/4 circle safety clasp.
