Lisner Jewelry

  The Lisner jewelry mark was first used in 1935, a mark of D. Lisner & Co in New York. They used their mark in block print and script and it is the mark of Lisner and Richelieu. The quality of the jewelry they made ranged from very good to above average. They made much of their jewelry in the 1950s and the quality was lacking in the lower end of their carded jewelry. They did make some well designed and above average costume jewelry. The Richelieu line of jewelry would rank with some of the best manufactures. "LISNER" in block was the mark first used in 1935. "Lisner"in script was first used in 1938, and then in 1959 the mark used most was "Lisner", in a block type letter with a L that had a long bottom base that underlined the rest of the letters. These marks may appear on jewelry made by Lisner over a period of 60 plus years and it is not possible to date a item by the mark alone. Molds and findings were kept and stamping dies were rarely disposed of and there fore they were used again and again at later dates.

The Lisner clip earrings have glued in crystal rhinestone set in a gold tone metal. All metal and sets are very good with no wear showing.

The "Lisner" bracelet has Red, green blue and deep topaz color rhinestone in sirated gold plate metal. Done in a gold plate metal with a fold over clasp. All metal and sets are very good with no wear.

The pin is marked Lisner, red rhinestones in tulip flower, mounted in rhodium plate metal. This is a very beautiful brooch with breight red sets on one side of the flower and ver sparkley red AB one the other side. All metal is very good with no wear. To View the Back of Pin . The necklace is marked Lisner, done in silver plate metal with double loop trace link chain and blue auro borealis sets. The condition of the necklace, plated metal and sets is very good.

 The bracelet is marked Lisner in block on clasp, and the earrings are unmarked. Blue rhinestones with ABs and the plating is good on bracelet, done in rodium plate. The earrings show wear on the back but the plating on front is good. The bracelet measures 3/4" wide x 6 3/4" long with earrings
3/4" x 1 1/4". The rhinestones are glued in and there are none missing.

 The clip silver and rhodium plate earrings are marked "Lisner" on each clip. The clear rhinestones are in very good condition with the plated metal very good on front and back. Open type leaf motif that measure 3/4" W x by almost 11/4" T.
