The makers of costume jewelry were many, some only worked in silver and they were known for most of that work in the 1930s and 40s in silver. Hand made or hand wrought with a few manufactures doing cast metal. Just to list a few such as Danecraft, Tru Art, George Jensen, Parenti "two sisters that trained in Italy for silver smith-ing", Harry Isken and Jordan. International Harvester who marked their jewelry with a I super imposed over H in just the reverse manner of Harry Isken.
Harry Isken of Philadelphia marked jewelry H super imposed over I, made jewelry in the 1940s and 50s. Most of his work was done in GF or gold wash over sterling, in retro style. The jewelry with large stones commands a good price. He used rhinestone and semi precious stones but his larger stone jewelry in more collectable.

Item: D-791 1940s Sterling Silver Large Retro Green Rhinestone Brooch and Screw Earrings
The large brooch pin is vermeil, gold over sterling silver. The leafs are bright silver with the stems and earrings having a gold wash over sterling silver. Bright green and large crystal rhinestone are prong set in the flower heads. There is no wear on the gold or silver surface, the leaf tips in the picture are not worn. The camera picture will not show the beauty of this monster pin and screw back earrings. The set comes in its original box from the 1940s and all three pieces are signed Sterling. These high quality sets were sold in fine jewelry stores.

Item: C-5556 Faux Pearl & Rose Gold over Sterling Silver Brooch
The brooch pin is signed sterling on both leafs and on the branch. Faux pearls in grape bunches on lovely old rose gold plate over sterling silver. The rose gold plate sterling silver is in very good condition on both the front and back of pin. Not often you find one from the 1940s in this condition. It has a 3/4 circle safety clasp. The brooch pin is marked J inside diamond on round shape plaque, 1/20 th 10 kt goldfilled. Fine blue rhinestone in this gold filled retro flower pin.

The brooch pin is gold wash sterling silver, there is very slight wear on one wing, noticeable up close. Two 12 mm round dark emerald green colored un-foiled sets with a mythical winged creature.

Sterling Danecraft Brooch Pin
 The large flower pin is marked "Sterling", on the back of leaf. There is a oval plaque with "Danecraft Sterling ©", Hand wrought sterling from this maker of many fine jewelry items in silver. The pin measures 1 3/4" W x 3 1/4" Tall with a ball safety pin clasp. Condition is very good.

 Jordan Sterling Brooch Pin
 The pin is gold wash over sterling silver, marked on round disc "Sterling by Jordan", it is a large leaf pin from the 1940s. There is one spot on lower right leaf that the gold wash is missing, other wise in good condition with a safety bullet type pin clasp. The pin measures 1 3/4" W x 4" T, these are becoming more collectable as they are becoming harder to find.

Vermeil Sterling Silver
The pin is marked Tru Art sterling on artist palette shaped oval disc and has rose gold wash for finish, a large retro flower pin with un foiled green glass set 1" in diameter. A monster pin measuring 3" in diameter and 4" long with stem. c late 1930s to early 1940s. The condition is very good with just 2 very  small spots where the gold wash is worn.

Item: B-645 Manrey Gold Wash, Sterling Silver Brooch
The brooch pin is a "Manrey" gold wash sterling silver, there is wear on the gold wash but it makes the sterling silver pin very attractive as the wear is on the high spots and looks normal. The flower bud and petals all intact and in good condition with a 3/4 circle pin clasp.

The pin is signed on oval plaque "Sterling" "John L" "Denmark", a lovely set of tulips done in sterling silver from Denmark. It has a 3/4 circle safety clasp.

The large flower pin is marked "Sterling", "PARENTI" on the back of stem. The stymens in the flower are a heavy gold plate. The pin measures 3" W x 4" Tall with a ball safety pin clasp. Very good silver work by the Parenti sisters.
