Dusty was sure it was his dad and now he knew, he sure was not going to let him leave with out him again. Ears laid back and those tiny legs moving as fast as lightning, he could really run fast for such a small dog. Dad just happen to have the camera with him at this time. The picture was taken in the fall of 1992 at Palace campground at Galena, Il. It was about 6 weeks before we were leaving for the Valley in Texas. He never wanted his dad or mom to go any place with out him even when he got much older. |

In July of 1993 we were in the back end of the Palace campground walking Dusty and he was looking for sticks to play with. He spotted one not to far off the ground and walked over to this row of small trees and tried to fetch a stick, the only problem was it was still attached to the tree. He tried and tried to get that stick so he could bring it back and play with mom. He must have been there for 10 minutes but had to give up on it, just a mouth full of leaf for all his effort. |

There is no order to the pictures in the album as I put up the pictures as we run across them. This is one of Dusty's favorite places, this is taken on dads recliner or I should say Dusty's. He staked claim to dads recliner after dad used a few times and from that time on as he was getting along in years his dad just let him have his way. This was taken in 2001 when he was 14 years old and you know by now he was the master of the house. His eye site was getting bad but he was still alert, just more lazy now. |

In 2001 this was his most favorite place when he could get someone to take him to bed or they were going to bed he was right behind them. He was a very good dog and would bark to let you know he either wanted to go outside or get down and get a drink and walk around for a while. The years were taking a toll on him and it was very painful to us to see him slow down from the very active companion he had been. |

Dusty in the side yard and I guess you know what he is doing. |

We just got one of those looks when he was going to leave the patio, dad said no but changed his mind and let him go out in the yard. If dad had really meant NO he would not have gone, he was a very good dog and almost always did what you told him. He still loved his roasted turkey, green beans and fish. |

One of the last pictures taken of Dusty with his blanket that now covered a pet bed on the floor. He was coming out of the bed to have his dad pick him up, the little guy still gave you that one single lick on the cheek! Those big bright eyes just letting you know he wanted to be with you. We really will never replace him nor could we, He was that bright shiny spot in ones life when you needed it! All said and done He was and is truly our Angel Dusty! |
