The company made costume
jewelry from the late 1950s through 1970s. The company did business under
the home party plan, and went out of business in the mid to late 1970s.
In the 70s when jewelry was dainty and not worn as much with the clothing
of the times a lot of Costume Jewelry manufactures closed up shop. They
were based in New York, NY. and produced a fairly expensive line of costume
jewelry, it was not cheap and it was not made to compete with the less
expensive lines of costume jewelry. Most all the jewelry produced
by them was of fine quality and this was done by using sets of very good
quality and very good silver, gold and rhodium plate on their items.

The pin & earring
set are in new condition, the rhinestones are topaz colored and appear
to be of good quality. The gold plated finish is excellent and the motif
is sun burst with clip earrings of the upswept style. The pin measures
2 1/2" x 2 1/8" with earrings 1" x 3/4". A very good set. The price is:

Celebrity N.Y.
The
earrings are clip pierced and marked Celebrity N.Y. on oval disc on each
back and on clip pierced shank marked Celebrity. Done in antique gold plate
with two piece plastic molded cameo and very realistic of shell cameo.
Some of the better work done buy this company. They measure 3/4" x 1 3/4"
including drops. A very nice set of pierced with clip closure.

Celebrity
The
Earrings are marked Celebrity in block, rhodium plated metal. The small
clear rhinestones are channel set and two faceted, frosted white
glass beads are mounted on both sides. This is the better work of Celebrity
in dainty costume jewelry. They measure 1/4" wide x 1 1/4" long. c 1960s.

and silver plated pin, marked Celebrity NY. Condition of pin is near mint
and the pin is marked on oval disc. c 1960s and it measures
