Brooch Pin or Pendant C-1583 Price: SOLD A very fine shell cameo from the 1940s mounted in 800 silver that can be used as either a Pin or Pendant. The color of the cameo is white figure on gray/tan back ground, the scanner will not pick up the true colors of the cameo. Made in the early part of the 20th century, hand carved with very good detail and depth of almost 1/4" on the carving. The earrings and necklace the lady is wearing are clearly visable as is all other parts such as her hair, and eyes. The cameo pin measures 1 1/8" W x 1 3/8" T and has a safety type ball catch pin with closed pear shaped loop for a chain. On the back of the cameo is a small block that is marked 800 for silver mounting. The clasp is in very good condition as is the fine shell cameo. |
